We had the distinct pleasure of photographing Jen and Ward's wedding recently.  I photographed Jen for her wedding portrait this year as well as an incredibly fun engagement session at Tanglewood.  Jen was a beautiful bride as you will see from the photos and we couldn't have enjoyed spending the day with them more.  Enjoy!

As a Corporate photographer I get to experience a variety of unique situations.  Some fun and some quite interesting.  This particular shoot required a Skyjack so I could get certain perspectives of the subjects at hand.  I regret that I am unable to show the end result of the shoot because I was only the front-end of the production.  Enjoy...

Ashley & Chris

I can't say enough about Ashley and Chris.  They are such a great couple and their wedding was a blast.  Everyone associated with the wedding (families, friends etc) have been so gracious and I'm so glad that idlewild got to be a part of it!  Enjoy!

I had the distinct pleasure of photographing Jay recently.  I photographed his Sister a few years ago and so it was nice being able to work with her younger brother.  In addition to being a good looking young man, Jay is a great kid and an amazing swimmer who will no doubt be getting a swimming scholarship next year.  Enjoy!  

NC Corporate Photography - Jeff Cowherd and me

I attended MerleFest this past weekend which is one of the largest annual music festivals in the country.  Here is a photo of me and Jeff Cowherd (owner of J Bovier) posing for pictures.  You will no doubt notice the J Bovier banner behind us which features my photograph of their new F5 Special Mandolin.  J Bovier uses my photos in their trade show banners, brochures (including the cover of their 2011 North American catalogue) and website.

NC Wedding / Engagement Photographer

What a great couple!  I have known Jen for many years and only recently had the pleasure of meeting Ward.  What a great guy and a wonderful match for our friend Jen.  We are so happy for both of them!  We had such a great time doing the engagement shoot that it makes me look forward to the wedding that much more.  Congratulations to this great couple!

Idlewild Photography's New Website and Blog!

After weeks and countless hours in front of the computer (between photo shoots and late nights) we have finally finished our new website(s) and Blog.  I think my youngest son grew 6 inches since I started this process.  Thanks to the folks at Photobiz and a special shout out to Mike Baldwin who helped immensely on this blog layout, I'm finally ready to launch.  Because our business has grown so much we now have the need for two websites.  One for Weddings, Portraits etc and a site dedicated to Corporate and Commercial work.  (Both sites are accessible through the homepage at Idlewild Photography.com) All I can say is, I'm happy to launch.  So, Please be sure to sign up for our blog feeds by entering your email to the left and you can follow us on the continuation of this exciting journey we find ourselves on.  Enjoy!
