Winston-Salem Headshot photographer

The majority of our business is commercial photography (everything from products to Headshots to events). This is a busy time of year for us and so I don't get a lot of time to post shots to the blog however, I thought I'd post this shot of Amanda that was taken this morning. Enjoy!

Welcome to our Blog.

2014 was our Seventh and best year to date! Over the past 7 years we have evolved into more of a corporate studio than anything else with approximately 90% of our business being commercial and the other 10% being a mix of portraits, families etc. Commercial work can be both challenging and rewarding. Challenging, because you have to have a very good understanding of manipulating light. After all, the word photography literally means “light writing”. This is a skill that must be practiced and improved upon constantly. I often read profiles of photographers who call themselves “natural light photographers”. That is all well and good but they are only dealing with half of the equation. We are all “natural light photographers” but one must also have an understanding of how to introduce “artificial” light into the equation and make it appear to be natural….. or NOT. The work is rewarding because of this unrelenting pursuit of lighting “perfection”. I put that in quotes because like in the case of music, photographic perfection can never be achieved, it is merely something for which we strive. (I’ll stop myself now before getting too philosophical for a photography blog.)
