NC Real Estate Agent Head Shots

There is a new trend in Real Estate Agent "Head Shots" that we're excited about. We call them "Lifestyle" shots. These show the personal side of the agent that traditional head shots cannot easily convey. Here's a great example that shows Sharon's great personality. Don't you just want to buy a house from her!? NC Home Interiors Photography

We have been a little remiss lately in our blog postings because of the volume of work we have been handling in the past few months. I did want to take a few minutes and post these photos since I am excited about the new project they represent. Coldwell Banker Realtors of the Triad has asked us to photograph the interiors of some of their higher end properties ranging from $500,000 to the Millions in order to better show the sheer beauty of these fine properties. Here are a couple of recent examples. Enjoy!

2014 was our Seventh and best year to date! Over the past 7 years we have evolved into more of a corporate studio than anything else with approximately 90% of our business being commercial and the other 10% being a mix of portraits, families etc. Commercial work can be both challenging and rewarding. Challenging, because you have to have a very good understanding of manipulating light. After all, the word photography literally means “light writing”. This is a skill that must be practiced and improved upon constantly. I often read profiles of photographers who call themselves “natural light photographers”. That is all well and good but they are only dealing with half of the equation. We are all “natural light photographers” but one must also have an understanding of how to introduce “artificial” light into the equation and make it appear to be natural….. or NOT. The work is rewarding because of this unrelenting pursuit of lighting “perfection”. I put that in quotes because like in the case of music, photographic perfection can never be achieved, it is merely something for which we strive. (I’ll stop myself now before getting too philosophical for a photography blog.)
